Volleyball Recap: Lake Forest Comes Up Short

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loyola Academy Ramblers. If the Scouts were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Ramblers when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lake Forest sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-14, 15-25, 15-8.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Loyola Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-16.

Coincidentally, Lake Forest and Loyola Academy will both be playing Deerfield the next time they take the court. The Scouts will head out to face the Warriors at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Ramblers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
