Softball Game Preview: Edgar Wildcats vs. Stratford Tigers

For the second straight game, Edgar will face off against Stratford. The Wildcats will host the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Edgar is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Stratford just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to the Tigers.

Alyssa Kolano was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run. Alyson Kolano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Stratford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Edgar, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
