Basketball Recap: Castleberry Comes Up Short

Castleberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-48 loss at the hands of the Burkburnett Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 922nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 118th).

Castleberry's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Burkburnett, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Castleberry will square off against Lake Worth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Castleberry is facing Lake Worth at the right time seeing as Lake Worth is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. Burkburnett has already played their next matchup (against Decatur), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
