Volleyball Recap: Niagara Takes a Loss

Niagara was the 2-1 winner over Marinette when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Badgers fell just short of the Marines by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Peyton Allred paced Niagara's offense, picking up eight kills. Allred got some help from Elesia Sweig and her nine assists. Sweig was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Niagara's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Niagara and Marinette will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Badgers are set to square off against their familiar foe Oneida Nation at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marinette will face off against rival Wrightstown at 7:00 p.m. on September 11.
