Basketball Recap: Jackson Kowal's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Niceville over Crestview

Niceville's game on Tuesday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crestview Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 87th).

Niceville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jackson Kowal, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anwar Conley, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Niceville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Crestview, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Niceville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mosley at 7:00 p.m. As for Crestview, they will head out to challenge Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.
