Baseball Recap: Hugoton Takes a Loss

Hugoton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southwestern Heights Mustangs, falling 13-4. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hugoton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Southwestern Heights, their record now sits at 5-2.

Looking ahead, Hugoton will head out to face off against Ulysses on Tuesday. As for Southwestern Heights, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-8 victory against Cimarron on the 10th.
