Jax Hobbs put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Friday. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Hobbs and Drummond will be playing in front of their home fans against Oklahoma Bible at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Hobbs' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Bulldogs' six-game streak of wins at home.
