Calallen took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 16-7 margin over the Victoria East Titans. The Wildcats are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 31 straight dating back to last season.

Jordyn Thibodeaux looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Brookelynn Meador was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. What's more, she also racked up four hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Kylie Butcher was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Coming up, Calallen will be taking part in a tournament against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Victoria East has already played their next contest (against Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
