Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). They put the hurt on the East Marion Eagles with a sharp 22-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Wildcats have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Joseph White looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Dillon Rowley was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. JP Haddox was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
