Basketball Recap: Uniondale Falls to East Meadow in First Game of Season

Uniondale unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Sunday and fell 58-57 to the East Meadow Jets. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

The victory got East Meadow back to even at 1-1.

Uniondale will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kingston at 2:00 p.m. on December 23rd. As for East Meadow, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-49 win against Herricks on the 9th.
