Basketball Game Preview: Western Indians vs. North Adams Green Devils

The Western Indians will challenge the North Adams Green Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Western knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully North Adams likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Western beat Oak Hill 59-50.

Meanwhile, North Adams earned a 62-53 win over Peebles on Friday. Given the Green Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Indians are ranked 611th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Adams has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Western, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Western came up short against North Adams in their previous meeting back in February of 2016, falling 41-35. Can Western avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
