Baseball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-15 in the process. They lost 23-13 to the Many Farms Lobos. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Many Farms, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Many Farms' part, they got a massive performance out of Mathias Yazzie, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Yazzie has posted since back in March of 2024. D'Shawn Chee was another key player, going 4-for-6 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Many Farms beat Valley by a score of 8-7 later that day.
