The Apollo Ridge Vikings will face off against the Neshannock Lancers on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Apollo Ridge 3.9, Neshannock 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Apollo Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Our Lady of the Sacred Heart 9-8.

Jocelyn Snyder made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Madison Butler was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Josalin McCauley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Neshannock strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Burgettstown as they made off with a 15-0 win. Considering the Lancers have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Apollo Ridge, Neshannock also got a great game from a two-way player: Addy Frye. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Frye has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Miley Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Gianna DeSalvo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Neshannock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Neshannock's victory was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Apollo Ridge, their record is now 11-4.
