Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Diego Cardinals vs. Laguna Blanca Owls

Bishop Diego hasn't had much luck against Laguna Blanca recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cardinals will host the Owls at 5:00 p.m. Bishop Diego is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

While Bishop Diego's victory against Cate wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Rams 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cardinals have posted since March 7th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Bishop Diego who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-0, 0-25, 25-0, 0-25, 15-0.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Laguna Blanca's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Foothill Tech by a score of 3-2.

Laguna Blanca's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bishop Diego, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.

Bishop Diego was able to grind out a solid win over Laguna Blanca when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
