Volleyball Recap: York's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

York's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Gloucester Dukes. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-18.

Sophia Tschida paced York's offense, picking up five kills. Tschida really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Finally, Penny Scheid kept York's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

York picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-9. As for Gloucester, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. York is set to take on their familiar foe Warhill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gloucester will challenge rival Bruton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
