Basketball Recap: Master's Academy Takes a Loss

Master's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Legacy Lions and fell 84-43.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Strickland, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and three blocks. Patrick Williams was another key player, shooting 45% from the field on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Master's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Master's Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Worth Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Legacy, they will challenge Tournament Team at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
