Volleyball Recap: Johnson Creek Takes a Loss

Johnson Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montello Hilltoppers. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Attigun Benz paced Johnson Creek's offense, picking up eight kills. Benz got some help from Olivia Frey and her 19 assists. Benz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Johnson Creek now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Montello, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-4.

Johnson Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Deerfield on the 11th. As for Montello, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Abundant Life on the 11th.
