Basketball Recap: St. Michael's Comes Up Short

St. Michael lost against West Las Vegas back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The St. Michael's Horsemen took a hard 57-40 fall against the West Las Vegas Dons.

Alexis Pacheco was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds for West Las Vegas. That makes it four consecutive games in which Pacheco has scored at least a third of West Las Vegas' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Cordova, who posted 16 points.

St. Michael's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for West Las Vegas, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, St. Michael's will face off against Robertson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Las Vegas, they will take on Academy for Technology and The Classics at 5:30 p.m. on February 20th.
