Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Finds Home Court Redemption Against Brazoswood

There's no place like home for Clear Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They strolled past the Brazoswood Buccaneers with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 65-48. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 758th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clear Creek pushed their record up to 15-18 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Brazoswood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Creek will square off against Clear Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
