Baseball Game Preview: Nashville Scrappers vs. Camden Fairview Cardinals

For the first time this season, Nashville will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will take on the Camden Fairview Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Nashville has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Nashville managed to slip by Ashdown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Nashville lost 13-2 to Ashdown on Monday. The game marked the Scrappers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Camden Fairview didn't have quite enough to beat Monticello on Monday and fell 9-8. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Billies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Peyton Schroeder was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jack Jeffus, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Camden Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Nashville, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-3.

Nashville beat Camden Fairview 11-6 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Nashville repeat their success, or does Camden Fairview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
