Recap: Carolina Day Wildcats vs. Varsity Opponent
The Carolina Day Wildcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Varsity Opponent 40-23 on Friday. The victory was just what Carolina Day needed coming off of a 43-17 defeat in their prior game.
Leading Carolina Day to victory were Taylor Williams and Lily Everette. Williams scored ten points along with three steals, while Everette scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Carolina Day's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Varsity Opponent, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 105-361 record this season.
Carolina Day will be playing in front of their home fans against Asheville Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Asheville Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 last Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
