Recap: Galloway Scots vs. Mount Vernon Mustangs
The Galloway Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 72-50 loss to Mount Vernon might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Galloway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Mount Vernon is ranked 47th).
Galloway's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Levin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grant Patrick, who scored 11 points.
Galloway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mount Vernon, their victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galloway will take on Atlanta International at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Vernon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paideia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
