Baseball Recap: Snook Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Jackson Academy

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Snook Christian Academy and Jackson Academy, and Snook Christian Academy kept the tradition alive. Snook Christian Academy blew past Jackson Academy 7-0 on Tuesday. Considering Snook Christian Academy has won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Bettner made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Snook Christian Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise. Bettner was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Thad Scott was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Ashley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

The win got Snook Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Jackson Academy, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Snook Christian Academy beat Jackson Academy by a score of 21-11 later that day.
