Bayfield won the last time they faced Piedra Vista and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wolverines came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Bayfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-23.

Evelette Hollibaugh paced Bayfield's offense, picking up 20 kills. Hollibaugh got some help from Avery Shipman and her 44 assists. Hollibaugh also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Vivien Clance, each putting up two.

Bayfield's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Piedra Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Bayfield will challenge Montezuma-Cortez at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piedra Vista, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Miyamura on the 4th.
