Baseball Game Preview: New Waverly Bulldogs vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

New Waverly hasn't had much luck against Anderson-Shiro recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Fighting Owls at 7:00 p.m. New Waverly knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Anderson-Shiro likes a good challenge.

New Waverly lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Onalaska, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Bulldogs blew past the Wildcats 12-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Anderson-Shiro's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Franklin by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Fighting Owls have suffered since May 11, 2024.

Anderson-Shiro's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for New Waverly, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
