Baseball Recap: Ritchie County Comes Up Short

Ritchie County lost against East Fairmont back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Ritchie County lost 16-6 to East Fairmont.

Ritchie County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonas Davis, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Tony McBrayer was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Ritchie County's record is now 0-2. As for East Fairmont, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ritchie County is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Tyler at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Fairmont, they will challenge North Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give East Fairmont their first taste of in-conference action this season.
