Volleyball Recap: Tomahawk Find Success + How To Watch

Marathon came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Tomahawk, but Sophie Olsen wouldn't allow it. The Hatchets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Red Raiders on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1 for which the team can thank Olsen, who had nine digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Tomahawk had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 27-25, 15-11.

The win got Tomahawk back to even at 11-11. As for Marathon, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Tomahawk and Marathon will both be playing Abbotsford the next time they take the court. The Red Raiders will head out to face the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hatchets will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
