            The Cross County Cougars will head out on the road to  challenge  the Centura Centurions  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Cross County is coming into the  game on  a  six-game losing streak.
On Friday, Cross County had to suffer through  a    78-20 loss at the hands of Ord.
 The losing side was boosted by   Sawyer Anderson, who rushed for 82 yards and one  TD on only five carries, and also threw for 180 yards and one  touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Centura's offense. They came up short against  St. Paul on Friday, falling  21-0. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Cross County's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Centura, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.
 Cross County strolled past Centura when the teams last played  back in October of 2024 by a score of  30-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
