It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mira Mesa had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Oceanside Pirates. The win was familiar territory for the Marauders, who have now won seven contests in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Oceanside scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21.

Mira Mesa was led to victory by Bailey McBride and Melanie Warner. McBride had 11 digs and three aces, while Warner had five digs and one assist. That's the most digs McBride has posted since October 1st.

They weren't the only good servers: Mira Mesa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive matches.

Mira Mesa's win bumped their record up to 22-14. As for Oceanside, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.

As of now, neither Mira Mesa nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
