Baseball Preview: Chiefland Indians vs. Dixie County Bears
Chiefland and Dixie County are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Chiefland Indians will welcome the Dixie County Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Chiefland, who comes in off a win.
While Chiefland's victory against Fort White wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Chiefland skirted past Fort White 4-2.

Hunter Boyd
Chiefland got a great performance from Hunter Boyd as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Boyd also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Chiefland is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trey Meeks, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Chiefland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort White struck out six times.

Chiefland now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Dixie County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
