Soccer Game Preview: Plano West vs. McKinney Boyd

The Plano West Wolves will head out to square off against the McKinney Boyd Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Plano West is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Prosper on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, McKinney Boyd made sure to put some goals up on the board against Princeton on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering the Broncos have won five games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

McKinney Boyd pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Plano West, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went Plano West's way against McKinney Boyd in their previous matchup back in January, as Plano West made off with a 6-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plano West since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
