Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red vs. Brentwood Academy Eagles

The Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red will take on the Brentwood Academy Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Montgomery Bell Academy had taken Ensworth down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Big Red fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 14-13.

Meanwhile, Brentwood Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Christ Presbyterian Academy.

Brentwood Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Purdy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Montgomery Bell Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Brentwood Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Montgomery Bell Academy beat Brentwood Academy 6-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Big Red have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
