It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but San Marcos ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the East Central Hornets 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Tuesday.

The win made it two in a row for San Marcos and bumps their season record up to 11-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for East Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Coming up, San Marcos will square off against Churchill at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Central, they will take on Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central is facing Canyon at the right time seeing as Canyon is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
