Volleyball Recap: Makenzie Weaver and Shelby Ostrander Secure Win for Piedmont Community Charter

There's no place like home for Piedmont Community Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Queen's Grant Stallions on Tuesday. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stallions, too.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-4, 17-25, 25-15.

Leading Piedmont Community Charter to victory were Shelby Ostrander and Makenzie Weaver. Ostrander had four aces and three digs, while Weaver had two aces. That's the most aces Ostrander has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Piedmont Community Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 14 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
