Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manvel). They blew past the Dobie Longhorns 100-50 on Friday. Given the Mavericks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 722nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Manvel pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Dobie, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

Manvel will be playing in front of their home fans against Pasadena Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasadena Memorial will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Manvel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dobie, they will head out on the road to square off against Dawson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
