Basketball Recap: Social Circle Extends Winning Streak to Three

Towers typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Social Circle proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 65-61 W over the Towers Titans. The win was familiar territory for the Redskins who have now won three matchups in a row.

Social Circle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Derrick White, who posted 20 points and five steals. Social Circle is 7-2 when White posts three or more steals, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jameccus Hardge, who scored 15 points and six steals.

Social Circle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Towers' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Kelly, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. With that strong performance, Kelly is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Domyius Mcfarland was another key player, going 9 for 18 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Social Circle's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Towers, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Social Circle has already played their next contest, a 77-55 defeat against Putnam County on the 4th. As for Towers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-51 loss against Greenforest on the 3rd.
