Volleyball Recap: Canton-Galva's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Canton-Galva came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Marion Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23.

Canton-Galva found their leader in sophomore Londyn Dietrich, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Canton-Galva's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Marion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Canton-Galva wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Wakefield on the 7th. As for Marion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Trinity on the 7th.
