Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gresham). Their defense stepped up to hand the Clackamas Cavaliers a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Gresham needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Gresham's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-3. As for Clackamas, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-4.

Coming up, Gresham will head out to square off against Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clackamas, they will face off against Central Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Catholic will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Clackamas surely won't give up without a fight.
