Preview: Grandville Bulldogs vs. Grand Haven Buccaneers
The Grandville Bulldogs will stay at home for another game and welcome the Grand Haven Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard on Tuesday.
Even though Grandville has not done well against Caledonia recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Grandville walked away with a 59-49 victory over Caledonia.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Grand Haven, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 86-70 loss to Rockford two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, Grand Haven can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Rockford is ranked 17th).
Grandville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Grand Haven, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
