Kenesaw posted their closest victory since October 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders, sneaking past 2-1. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Kenesaw found their leader in freshman Ariana Schakat, who had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Schakat.

Kenesaw was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Lawrence-Nelson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Victoria Koehler had 11 digs. Koehler also put up an ace, which was her first of the season.

Kenesaw now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Kenesaw has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Harvard on the 16th. As for Lawrence-Nelson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Shelton on the 18th.
