Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Takes a Loss

After soaring to 85 points the game before, North Hills Christian was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were outmatched by the Victory Christian Center Kings and fell 90-16. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Kings are ranked 46th).

Panos Kalkavouras had a dynamite game for Victory Christian Center, going 12 for 17 on his way to 31 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Kalkavouras a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Petty, who posted nine points along with five assists and three steals.

North Hills Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Victory Christian Center, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8.
