Basketball Recap: Irene/Wakonda Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bon Homme last Friday, Irene/Wakonda came back down to earth. The Irene/Wakonda Eagles had to suffer through a 74-45 loss at the hands of the Viborg/Hurley Cougars. The Eagles have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Irene/Wakonda's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Viborg/Hurley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Irene/Wakonda won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Andes Central/Dakota Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Viborg/Hurley and Gregory will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 30th.
