Volleyball Game Preview: Pioneer Valley Panthers vs. Cabrillo Conquistadores

After both having extra time off, the Pioneer Valley Panthers and the Cabrillo Conquistadores will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Pioneer Valley sitting on seven straight wins and Cabrillo on three.

Last Tuesday, Pioneer Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Santa Maria, taking the game 3-1.

Pioneer Valley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 28-26, 23-25, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo got the win against Santa Maria last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Cabrillo never let Santa Maria on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.

Pioneer Valley pushed their record up to 18-16 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Cabrillo, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Pioneer Valley beat Cabrillo 3-1 when the teams last played on April 4th. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Conquistadores turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
