Softball Recap: Falkner Takes a Loss

Falkner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Ripley Tigers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 24-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Falkner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kady Duncan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Duncan also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Falkner's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Ripley, they pushed their record up to 8-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Falkner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Myrtle on the 24th. As for Ripley, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Shannon on the 25th.
