Soccer Game Preview: North Forney vs. Longview

The North Forney Falcons will head out to take on the Longview Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

North Forney is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Neither they nor Rockwall could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for North Forney's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Longview's offense. They fell 2-0 to Forney on Friday. While losing is never fun, Longview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Forney are ranked fourth).

Longview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. North Forney's draw gives them a new season record of 6-7-2.

North Forney came up short against Longview when the teams last played back in March of 2025, falling 2-0. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
