Baseball Recap: Montello Hilltoppers vs. Green Lake/Princeton Tigersharks

Montello had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-10 to make it four. They lost 13-2 to the Green Lake/Princeton Tigersharks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigersharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on Tuesday.

As for Green Lake/Princeton, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games.

For Green Lake/Princeton's part, Kyle Bond made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk).
