Softball Recap: Westwood Redhawks vs. Conway Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westwood can now relate to. They fell just short of the Conway Tigers by a score of 9-8 on Monday. The Redhawks just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.
Annarea Wilson put in work no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Wilson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.
In other batting news, Azaria Belton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ridgeway Marguerite was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Conway, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9.
