Softball Recap: Hunter Find Success

Hunter took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Copper Hills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolverines skirted past the Grizzlies 6-5. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 13-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hunter saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LOIANA IONGI, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Hunter and bumps their season record up to 6-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Copper Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Coincidentally, Hunter and Copper Hills will both be playing Davis the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will head out to face the Darts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Grizzlies will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
