Soccer Recap: Community's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

If Community was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Caddo Mills last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Community Braves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunnyvale on Wednesday. The Braves were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the four contests prior), but Sunnyvale's defense proved too tough.

Community's goal came courtesy of Kaelin Christian, who's now up to 18 this season.

The loss snapped Community's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Sunnyvale, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Community will venture away from home to face off against Kemp at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Community is facing Kemp at the right time seeing as Kemp is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Sunnyvale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caddo Mills at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sunnyvale's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Caddo Mills' offense will have their work cut out for them.
