Preview: North Pocono Trojans vs. Mid Valley Spartans
The North Pocono Trojans will be playing at home against the Mid Valley Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mid Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North Pocono, who comes in off a win.
North Pocono took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 42-34 win over Greater Nanticoke Area.
Meanwhile, Mid Valley came up short against Emmaus on Saturday and fell 60-48.
Despite the loss, Mid Valley had strong showings from Nathan Sadaka, who scored 15 points, and Demaja Dunston, who scored 14 points. Dunston scored a full 29.2% of Mid Valley's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
North Pocono's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mid Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
North Pocono came up short against Mid Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 37-27. Thankfully for North Pocono, Danny Nemitz (who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
